Marilyn Laverty is the chairman of Shore Fire Media and a senior advisor to its parent organization, Dolphin (NASDAQ: DLPN). Named one of Billboard’s top “Women in Music” and “Power Publicists,” Laverty is a graduate of Cornell University and serves on the Entrepreneurship at Cornell Advisory Council as well as the President’s Council of Cornell Women. A former freelance journalist for U.K. and U.S. music magazines, Laverty was the national vice president of publicity for Columbia Records before founding Shore Fire in 1990.
